Monthly Round Up: August 2018

this has been my feel lately…

Volkish.org has now rounded out its second month online.

In reviewing the last monthly round-up, we have made a lot of progress on some areas and feel short in others.

The new site design has proven to be a good fit. I have looked into more and different templates but they all cost money, so this will due for the time being.

In terms of site stats, we are on an upward trajectory:

July: 1,790 views and 415 visitors

August: 3,642 views and 712 visitors

Our reader continue to come from the USA by a large margin. After that is the rest of the Anglosphere (UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia) and Sweden.

We added 43 new posts.

Aside from the Manifest Destiny Podcast posts, my post on Spengler’s Prophecy of the Germanic Imperial Age was the most popular.

I was glad to see the a google search for “volkish” brings up our site five links down. We are basically the only site that uses the “volkish” spelling rather than “volkisch” with the umlaut. This probably looses us some traffic, but whatever. We ‘own’ this particular spelling of the brand.

Jake and Lucas both contributed a new post each to the site this month. We also added a new contributor, Randolph Carter, who made a great post about our sacred drink mead. All three will continue to contribute articles going forward.

I have held to my goal of posting at least once a day, as well as getting a Manifest Destiny show up every Woden’s Day. We will have our first guest on the show next week, so look forward to that.

Unfortunately, no original art or IRL documentation of our Centurion Method workouts was added last month, as I promised. I will correct this soon.

The first official in-person Volkish Project meeting, however, did take place and was a great success. We came up with a lot of great ideas, which I expected. The issue is always money and finding people with the drive and opportunity to make them real. The Volkish State will take some time to build.
