Dragons And Lizards
Perseus and you Saint George thank God in your grave! You lived in the good long gone days when the hero went to holmgang with Evil’s insidious dragon, the horrible animals from the abyss beyond land and sea. Among dragons – as among heroes – forces have decreased, – for over the decay of all things one can rightly complain – : now exists only on earth the numerous, but weak fry of the primeval-lizard which your bane wounds gave. And precisely that is why evil is on our poor planet now grown you, Saint George, you, Perseus over your head, You legendary warriors against evil giants; For even if on a noble steed with the lance stretched he sits where should one begin completely - when high and low it creeps of a thousand tiny lizards who out from behind the rocks peek?
